AF Croatia Tour 2024 Kicks Off In Umag

Last year we had an absolute blast on our 2023 European Tour, taking in multiple events all over the continent including the gargantuan Tuning World Bodensee in Southern Germany. One of our favourite shows on the whole tour though was a little more laidback, and dare we say even cooler than that - the rather epic XS CarNight Italy. So much so that we quickly decided to become one of the main sponsors for the guys at XS Mag for their main event in 2024.

Our Italian adventure witnessed the first time the guys had laid on their show outside their home country of Austria, and that was chiefly due to the Police crackdowns on modified cars where they traditionally met up in Worthersee over the past few years. So, with something of a knack for getting themselves into the craziest locations, for 2024 they decided to take their show ever further afield, all the way to Umag in Croatia. Of course, what with Umag being one of Europe’s most popular beach holiday destinations, that was just another reason that TeamAF wasn’t going to miss out!

Suffice to say that we were looking forward to checking out some of the best cars in Europe and grabbing a little sunshine along the way. But first – and aside from loading up a whole transporter trailer full of some of our favourite AF Project Cars, the world’s best detailing products, and even producing our own graphic tee to commemorate the tour - was the small matter of their welcome meet, just a couple of days before the big one. But what better way to kick off our weekend, eh?

So, with our HGV already having made its way across France, Germany, Austria and Slovenia into the town of Umag Croata, we got ourselves out there to unload the goodies (not least our Pandem Yaris and VW T2 Bus pop-up shop) and get set up for the welcome meet.

Once again, the crew from XS CarNight had picked quite the scenic location for this one. The historic surroundings echoing their welcome meet from last year - what they called XS CarNight Classic. This time though, instead of the mountains of Italy, we were right on the west coast of Croatia, a stones throw from the sea in Umag marina.

What we expected was an intermate affair and we have to say that’s exactly what we got. Here’s plenty of goings on from the day, and a few damn cool cars along the way…

We had a great day at the welcome meet and even though the weather may have rained us off in the end (yep, we didn't expect that in Croatia, either) rest assured that there's plenty more to come with the main event.
